On Monday 26th November 2012 the new Artrocker book ‘GARY NUMAN: NOW…and then’–– an official retrospective of an electro legend –– will hit digital news stands around the world, marking Artrocker’s first foray into book publishing.
AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE for ALL tablets, including iPad, Kindle and Android, the book was created through a series of NEW & EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEWS with Gary that were undertaken by Artrocker Editor-in-Chief Tom Fawcett. Discussing the past, present and future of the King of Synth, no stone is left unturned and includes the story behind the recording of and subsequent decision to release the classic ‘Are Friends Electric’ as a single.
The subject of two Artrocker covers since 2011, the last few years have seen an amazing resurgence in popularity for Gary Numan, with him returning to form as a recording artist and back in the public gaze as one of the revered greats of Pop.
For this book Artrocker commissioned music & fashion photographer Keith Martin to take a series of new photos of Gary, his crew and fans. The result is a stunning series of nearly 200 brand new, never-seen-before exclusive photos. Embedded in the book are exclusive interview videos on subjects as diverse as Cars and moving to the USA.
Readers will also be given access to an EXCLUSIVE DOWNLOAD REMIX ALBUM. Entitled ‘Dead Moon Falling’, the album is a full reworking of Gary Numan’s critically acclaimed ‘Dead Son Rising’ album, featuring remixes by some of the world’s most cutting-edge artists, including – TIM BURGESS, SONOIO, GAZELLE TWIN, THE DUKE SPIRIT, THE OFFICERS, ATARI TEENAGE RIOT’S ALEX EMPIRE and IS TROPICAL.
