Gary Numan to release score to John Bergin’s ‘From Inside’

Gary Numan is set to release his score to John Bergin’s film From Inside in two editions on Lakeshore Records this October. The score will make for his first in 23 years, dating back to 1991’s The Unborn.

The From Inside — Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be released Oct. 7 with an Oct. 21 release date for the DVD From Inside: Gary Numan Special Edition. The album features music by Numan and Ade Fenton.

Pearl Thomson to exhibit art for the first time

Former THE CURE guitarist PORL THOMPSON is set to unveil his artwork for the first time at a gallery launch in Los Angeles next year.

The musician, who now goes by the name Pearl Thompson, has never exhibited his multi-media paintings before.They will go on display at the Mr. Musichead gallery for three weeks from 5 March 15.

Nick Cave tells Russian reporter that his mother keeps his tail in a jar

In honor of the ageless Nick Cave who turned 57 yesterday, I dug up this interview that Cave did in 1992 for Russian TV. What got the most attention in the interview was Cave agreeing to poetry slam the lyrics to The Birthday Party song Dead Joe from the 1982 record, Junkyard.

Founding Joy Division member furious about Twitter account

Some wounds just won’t heal.

Wednesday saw the launch of the official Joy Division Twitter account. While this may have been a fun event for some of the legendary post-punk outfit’s fans, it left one member of the band fuming.Less than an hour after New Order announced the news — on Twitter, naturally — Peter Hook, the group’s former bassist and one of the founding members of Joy Division, voiced his displeasure.
